Cafe 1814

Présentation

Cafe1814 was opened in April 2013 in the beautiful town of chateauponsac, initially it was primarily a salon de the offering full English breakfast, light meals, snacks, homemade cakes, afternoon teas, and a full hot and cold drinks menu, since then I have introduced due to requests and popular demand a variety of offers including:- fish and chips, tapas nights, pie and mash nights, serve alcohol and provide a central location for purchase of bacon, sausages and cheese among other English goodies via bacon by the box (http://www.baconbythebox.com). We provide free wifi for our customers and cards for all occasions in English and French. Due to expansion I am going to be moving to a new location. From the beginning of March I can be found in the new location which was ‘le bistrot’ in Chateauponsac. I will be working in partnership with my husband Brian and we will be offering in addition to our current services and menus:- a larger menu choice, pizza’s - eat in or take away, fish and chips every Friday lunch and evening, plus a full menu of drinks both soft and alcoholic. On Saturday evenings we will be welcoming guest chefs to our restaurant to offer our customers a variety of dishes from around the world including Indian curry nights, Thai, Moroccan, couscous, traditional French cuisine, Spanish plus many more. (We are still looking for chefs/cooks who are interested in taking over the restaurant for a Saturday night so if you are interested please contact me). We will have a large screen tv in the bar and be showing as many major sports events as we can, this year they will include - le tour de France , the olympics and the European Cup (football). .
